Velost Helshire - the common species

Velost Helshire Wolf Species

Hello everyone! I figured out it was time to post a little sheet of the main species in my story, The Whitefall Wanderer, since more people have begun asking about their long tails Yes, indeed it's a part of the species! So I put this together for that reason + another reason I wont say yet

Cait Crest
The most common wolf specie among Velost Helshire. Known for their long, floof and fan like tails and very thick rough fur, these wolves are buildt for a harsh winterlife. Although their population is spread wide over Velost Helshire, they prefer colder climate due to their thick underfur. The Cait Crest has developed very well to the cold climate, which is why this is the most common wolf species. They are often seen in lakes or rivers cooling down during summer times and hot days. The Cait Crest often look like Cait Mit as youngsters, untill they're fully grown. These often live in the main district villages as one big pack, but they also like being in smaller groups that travel, often consisting of two to four wolves in one little travel group. These wolves prefer living in the northern part of Velost Helshire, despite that they are often seen closer to the south. It isnt uncommon that Cait Crest and Cait Mits travel together, but it's very rare for Cait Crest and Pepel to travel together.
• Diet
Their diet consist mostly of raw red and dark meat. They are often seen fishing too, but they rarely eat other things than meat. Because of their size and physical power, two Cait Crest can often bring down a caribou on their own.
• Powers
The Cait Crest are natural with powers, and they are fast learners and can adapt quickly. More of this will be told later ...

Cait Mit
The sub-specie of Cait Crest, these two species are very similar to the Cait Crest, the main difference being their fur is smoother and softer, as well as their tails more rounded and not as floof- like.  These wolves are very common in the west and south areas, famous for their abilities with tools and steel weapons as well as Merchants. These wolves travel a lot more than their kin specie, and can often travel in bigger packs, or on their own. These wolves have a lighter fur, so they cant be in the cold over longer periods of time.
• Diet
The Cait Mit eat more of bird, hare or fish, as well as some types of berries. They also hunt deer and elk if they're many enough.
• Powers
The Cait Mit is on same level of Power as the Cait Crest. More of this will be told later ....

Pepel
The pepel wolf is known for their incredible speed and stamina, having smaller tails and less fur. They are most  common in the south, very few travel north due to their thin fur. These wolves are often more dull in colors, but some rarely come in stronger colors and markings. The Pepel is also, despite lacking Power, known for having a certain talent for physical power rather than magical. Which means they can use their power to boost speed, stamina or strength rather than weaponize magic. 
• Diet
The Pepel eats mostly bird and smaller prey, but in big packs they hunt bigger animals. 
• Power
Their power of talent lies in physical rather than magical or elemental. More of this will be told later..
